Do I need a credit card to sign up?
No. The Free plan requires no payment details at all. If you upgrade to Pro or Business, you will be asked for card details at that point.
Can I upgrade or downgrade at any time?
Yes. You can change your plan at any time from your account settings. Upgrades take effect immediately; downgrades apply at the end of the current billing period.
Is there a free trial for paid plans?
Yes — both Pro and Business come with a 14-day free trial. No credit card required during the trial.
What currencies are supported?
InvoiceAdept supports GBP, EUR, USD, and six other major currencies. Most UK tradespeople invoice in pounds, but international work is fully supported.
Does InvoiceAdept support Making Tax Digital (MTD)?
Yes. InvoiceAdept keeps your records fully digital and compliant with HMRC's MTD for Income Tax requirements coming into effect from April 2026 onwards.
What is CIS and which plan includes it?
The Construction Industry Scheme (CIS) is an HMRC scheme where contractors deduct tax at source from subcontractors. InvoiceAdept's Business plan includes CIS deduction tracking and monthly return assistance.
Can I cancel at any time?
Yes. There are no long-term contracts. Cancel from your settings at any time — your data remains accessible until the end of the billing period.
Are there transaction fees for card payments?
InvoiceAdept does not charge additional transaction fees on top of Stripe's standard processing rates (typically 1.4% + 20p for European cards). You keep more of your money.
